A party’s more festive with crepe
But not so adorning one’s nape
Comes a time in your life
When you’re ripe for the knife
And a face that looks less prune than grape
At first you’re a wrapped-up Q-tip
With a Frankenstein face and clown lip
“Did I goof” is your question
Don’t check out your reflection
Just enjoy every meal, sip by sip
Even deeper than skin you’ll feel raw
Then, slowly but surely you’ll thaw
You’ll look worse than you feel
Act impatient to heal
And sneak out, hoping not a soul saw
To help you sleep there is a pill
But for comfort there’s better, still
